2. Y'all read over the list, pick out one (or more) we have in common, and write me a drabble/ficlet featuring that pairing. (100-500 words, let's say?) Gen in any of these fandoms counts too, by the way.
3. On Monday, I'll make a post where you can either comment with your ficletty things or post a link to them, and then, I will either write you another ficlet in return featuring that pairing or remix the one you wrote for me, within a reasonable amount of time. No more than three to a customer, please.
A pseudo-slash Remus/Sirius thing for yahtzee63, who I stole this meme from. 274 words. (OMG! HP! WTF?)
Remus isn't quite sure what he thought it would be like to talk to Sirius again after the incident at Hogwarts, but awkwardly sipping tea in silence wasn't it.
Sirius certainly looks a lot better than he did when Remus last saw him. His dark hair, while still wild, doesn't make him look quite as insane, and his skin has taken on a healthy glow (most likely due to the Caribbean sun). Remus is happy for Sirius, he truly is, but he's still not quite sure how to talk to him when they're not in immediate danger.
So he fiddles with the handle on his mug, instead of meeting Sirius' eyes. It's a good handle, one that's served him well over the years. It has been worn down through age, a few spots turning gray here and there.
When the silence becomes too awkward for Remus to bear (and Remus is used to awkward silences), he glances up and says, "So..."
"So..." Sirius begins at the exact same moment, and something just clicks into place.
Sirius begins laughing first, smile different from the one Remus remembers. Remus joins in afterward, if only because he can't help himself.
Once they both calm down, the silence returns, but it's comfortable this time, not as awkward.
"Padfoot," Remus says after a moment, "when did we become James and Lily?"
Sirius doesn't respond at first, and Remus is almost afraid that he said the wrong thing, bringing up the bad memories instead of the good. But then Sirius replies, grin spreading slowly across his face, "So, who's James and who's Lily?"
And that sets them both off again.
